Studio session [day 2]

Today we changed location, for the guitars we just made it at jimmy's!!!!
The choice for the guitar was to get a very weird sound... in italian we named it like "marcio" (rotten) ©Did!!!!
We used a Sennheiser for voice mic to record from the amplifier, and we obtained this very small and tiny but rowdy sound...
you gonna listen to it later, guys!!!!
NB: in the picture above you can see the ENERGY DOME in the top right corner!


Then was the turn of what we called "Robottino" (little robot)... seems that Jimmy is getting keen more and more on what sounds just weird... as we said he is getting Jimmy Marcio!!!!

Studio session [day 1]

Hi guys, we are so excited!!!!

Today we start recording at first samples and tracks of cymbals and hit- hat.
The decision was to play drum machines in the LP, but to enfatise the role of the percussion we decided to play tracks of cymbals and bells together with the drum machine samples.
Danny was pretty busy on it...


...anyway he looks so cool playing those few cymbals and bells.
The session didnt took so long time actually and the result is pretty cool.

I wonder how "Doodle Doodle" is gonna sound like... Billy start playing some strobo effects with the light of the recording room while Danny was recording... i guess that we are taking to much seriously what de-evolution is gonna be (LOL).

We've been away for a while... LP action in progress

Hi there spuds!!!!

Sorry for being away for such long time!!!!
Hope all of you enjoyed "REPOKSIES!" our EP of remixes just released
a couple of weeks ago!

It's we've been just relaxing like many of you would be thinking...
lately we decided to stop with lives and we took the decision of close
the doors and stay in the studio for weeks!
Our aim is recording new material to release our first LP action!!!!


The first session was based on restoring and improving the programming
session... many things gonna change in the future!!!!

Questa a fianco è una Squier Stratocaster made in Japan del 1991, customizzata sia nel colore che nei pick-up che ora sono dei Fender Texas Special.









Questo è il Vox AD100VT-XL, un combo digitale-valvolare a doppio cono.







Per finire ecco la batteria della Tama con meccaniche Yamaha e piatti Zildjian. Sul timpano c'è uno scaccia mosche...

Billy's Live set-up

Oggi vi presento il mio live set-up che porto in giro durante le date degli OH NO ITS POk composto da uno xiosynth, un mini mixer e un Ipod.


Nella foto sopra c'è lo Xiosynth della Novation. Questa tastiera può essere usata sia come midi controller che come synth in quanto al suo interno sono stati caricati 200 suoni preset. La possibilità di modulare ed editare il suono dal vivo, la sua estrema compattezza e la sua leggerezza, mi hanno convinto a sceglierla come live set-up.


Qui a fianco ci sono mixer e Ipod. Il mixer è uno XENYX 802 della Behringer a 4 traccie. La necessità di utilizzare un mixer compatto sul palco è nata dal fatto di poter rendere il suono più omogeneo e poter gestire direttamente sul palco i volumi del synth e delle basi riprodotte dall'Ipod 16 GB.
